EXISTENCE SERIES

“Existence” is a series of 12 oil paintings on canvas on panel done in 2012-2017.


Existence is what we believe is reality. All phenomena we experience, directly and indirectly, in this universe we say “exists.” What about all the phenomena beyond our senses and too subtle for our crude technology to detect? These exist also even as they are unknown and unknowable to us. And they are part of living on Earth. The world is a vast complex order and not to be confused with our own limits of understanding. My paintings are signs to recognize that whole order of the cosmos. Many things interest me, but what compels my art is my interest in the truth of existence.
