Artworks represented in this online portfolio are images of original paintings and drawings by California artist William Leidenthal. Each page is a gallery where you will find five or six images from a series of related pieces. [The total number of artworks in a typical series is 8-12.] Clicking on any work in the gallery page brings up a larger view with information about the title, size and materials.

An important element of the work is the dimensional and textural quality of the diverse materials. This aspect is significant in that it defines each piece as a unique object rather than a picture of another place. Due to the complex surfaces and limitations of reproduction, color representation is approximate.
