TERRA INCOGNITA (COLORLESS) SERIES

“Terra Incognita (Colorless)” is a series of 10 black and white paintings on panel done in 2019-2021. These are created with charcoal and gesso.


Paring away the color in my painting is a conceptual method to simplify a vision of the deep complexity of our planet, a diagram of the hidden physical and chemical processes. How does the artist find the undiscovered land? You admit that you don’t know who you are and what you are doing. You are lost and the work is the path to knowledge. Do not conform to the norm. Wander to the unknown land.
