NEO EXISTENCE SERIES
“Neo Existence” is a series of nine oil paintings on canvas on panel done in 2014-2016.
A continuation of the previous Existence series, this later group of work incorporates new abstract symbols and astronomical iconography into the landscape model. These paintings were conceived in an extended horizontal format inspired by Chinese and Japanese scroll paintings.
The conundrum of painting is trying to indicate the perfection of the universe through the imperfect medium of art. I use color and line allowed to fall where they were meant to be like leaves falling to the forest floor.
